HA NOI — French jazz diva Isabelle de Valvert debuts her diverse musical talents next Tuesday at Le Club Bar at Sofitel Metropole Hanoi with a wide range of covers and original songs.

She has promised covers of the legendary Ella Fitzgerald and Tina Turner (whom she describes as her idols). A highlight of each performance will be a salute to Edith Piaff, plus an impressive selection of songs written by Isabelle herself. She’ll also be playing the piano.

Isabelle, who says she was born during one of her father’s saxophone solos, has followed in family tradition with her guitar and piano. The multifaceted artist/model also dances and can sing from sultry to soprano in six different languages, including Italian, English, Portuguese and Spanish.

Isabelle adds Ha Noi to a performance line-up that includes Paris, Casablanca, Tokyo, St.Tropez and Bangkok.

She’s scheduled to sing at Sofitel Metropole Hanoi nightly (excluding Monday) at 7.30pm. The performances will last until late November. — VNS
