DONG NAI — More than 20 tonnes of carp and red tilapia raised by local farmers in Dong Nai River in the southern province of Dong Nai's Bien Hoa City died en mass.
The deaths were initially attributed to pollution of the river water. Samples of the water have been taken for testing.
Local fish farmers are blaming waste water discharged by factories along the river bank.
In June, up to 80 tonnes of fish which were farmed along the same stretch of the river died from polluted water._VNS
