Vietnamese woman turns 120 years old

Bhling Talah has just celebrated her 120th birthday in Tr’Hy Commune, Quang Nam Province, according to the Tr’Hy Commune’s Party Committee.

Talah is an ethnic Co Tu woman in Voong Village in Tay Giang District.

Talah is still in good health and walks well. She can cook meals and do light housework. She married three times and has six children with her first husband.

Ca Mau National Park to get new status

The Viet Nam UNESCO Committee and the Ca Mau Province’s People’s Committee discussed a plan on Monday to recognise Mui Ca Mau National Park as an international biosphere reserve.

The Mui Ca Mau National Park in Ca Mau Province, established in 2002 by the Government, has a total area of 41,862 ha, including 26,600 ha of sea coastal land.

The park has the largest saline submerged mangrove forest in Viet Nam. It is also home to more than 100 precious animal species.

Deputy chair takes seat on City committee

Nguyen Thi Thu Ha, deputy head of the HCM City’s Party Committee’s Organisation Committee, was elected as deputy chairwoman of the HCM City’s People’s Committee on Monday.

Ha, born in 1956 in Tay Ninh Province, has a master’s degree in State administration, a bachelor’s degree in food chemicals, and a bachelor’s degree in politics.

Dac Lac to build new industrial complex

Dac Lac Province has announced plans to establish the Truong Thanh-Ea H’Leo Industrial Complex in Ea H’Leo District.

The VND140 billion (US$8.75 million) complex could accommodate about 40 small and medium-sized enterprises.

It is the Tay Nguyen (central highlands) province’s fourth industrial complex.
