NINH THUẬN — Visitors to the central coastal province of Ninh Thuận should not miss Mỹ Nghiệp brocade weaving village in Phước Đàn Town, where they can get an insight into the ancient cultural and spiritual values of the Chăm people.

The village is home to 730 households with nearly 4,000 artisans practising their traditional occupation of thổ cẩm (brocade) weaving using old techniques passed down from generation to generation.

Some 100,000 Chăm people live in the country, but Ninh Thuận alone has around 50,000 of them.
