ĐỒNG THÁP — Visitors to the Mekong Delta province of Đồng Tháp should take a trip to the farms in the Lai Vung area where farmers earn a living growing pink tangerine.

Throngs of holiday-makers from HCM City are flocking to the gardens in Lai Vung to witness the ripening season and take photos while spending a day picking fruit.

Travellers are advised to drop by the orchards by the 20th of the 12th lunar month, which falls on February 5 this year, as local farmers will start picking fruit for sale during the peak Tết (Lunar New Year) season.

From HCM City, travellers can take a bus to Đồng Tháp Province at tour operators’ offices on Phạm Ngũ Lão, Đề Thám and Bùi Viện streets in District 1 or at a bus station on Lê Hồng Phong Street in District 10. — VNS
