New museum of farming tools

A museum of ancient agricultural tools will soon be built in the southern province of Vĩnh Long, according to Nguyễn Xuân Hoanh, deputy director of the province’s Culture, Sports and Tourism Department.

VĨNH LONG — A museum of ancient agricultural tools will soon be built in the southern province of Vĩnh Long, according to Nguyễn Xuân Hoanh, deputy director of the province’s Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

The museum will be built on the foundations of the existing exhibition house that stores ancient agricultural tools in the province’s Vũng Liêm District. The new museum will host 300 objects over a total area of 200sq.m.

The tools will include both ancient and contemporary objects used to prepare soil for planting, make hay, and harvest as well as fishing tools. — VNS
