Many famous tourist attractions are on Việt Nam’s currency notes. These include the VNĐ500,000 bill, the highest denomination, which features a thatched house inside a museum dedicated to the late President Hồ Chí Minh in Kim Liên Village, Nghệ An Province.

The VNĐ200,000 bill features Hạ Long Bay, which also used to be on the former VNĐ10,000 paper note.

The VNĐ100,000 note has Hà Nội’s Temple of Literature, the country’s first national university, which hosts a variety of cultural events every year.

The VNĐ50,000 bill has Phu Văn Lâu, a historic pavilion in the ancient city of Huế.

The VNĐ20,000 bill features the 400-year-old Chùa Cầu (Pagoda Bridge) in the ancient town of Hội An.

Smaller notes carry more modern sites like Hải Phòng Port (on the VNĐ500 note), a textile factory in the northern province of Nam Định (VNĐ2,000), and Tri An Hydropower Plant in the southern province of Đồng Nai (VNĐ5,000).

The VNĐ10,000 note has the Bạch Hổ Oil Field, situated 145 kilometers off the southern beach town of Vũng Tàu. — VNS
