The 6th Quảng Nam Heritage Festival to be held in early June will be an opportunity for the central province to solicit investment for tourism development.

Themed “Quảng Nam - Connecting Cultural Heritage”, the festival is expected to help visitors get an insight into Quảng Nam as a land with a variety of tangible and intangible heritages found in its plains, coast, islands and remote inland areas, Đinh Hải, director of  the province Department of Culture, Sport and Tourism, said.

The festival, which will be held in every locality across Quảng Nam, will feature art performances and cultural exchange activities in Hội An and Mỹ Sơn Sanctuary.

Marine activities will be held with a view to giving visitors experience of the “heritage coastline”.

Meanwhile, a new sea tour linking Chu Lai – Cù Lao Chàm – Tam Hai (in Quảng Nam Province) and Lý Sơn (in Quảng Ngãi Province) will be launched in May.

The Quảng Nam Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism has co-ordinated with localities to prepare traditional and cultural activities, while local authorities have asked owners of hotels and other accommodation to improve their service quality to meet the demands of visitors.

The province hopes to attract a million tourists to the festival. — VNS
