A new weekend market in HCM City is becoming popular with both locals and foreigners.

Since it is close to the backpackers’ area on Phạm Ngũ Lão Street in District 1, the Sài Gòn Central Market has emerged as a place for young visitors to hang out.

Located in Zone B of September 23 Park, the market opens from 9am to 9pm on Saturdays and Sundays. Visitors can find fashion items and food from Việt Nam, Japan, South Korea and Thailand, and enjoy music performances. — VNS
