From April 28 to May 2, the northern mountainous province of Lào Cai hosts numerous activities for Sapa Culture and Tourism Week 2016.

From April 28 to May 2, the northern mountainous province of Lào Cai will hosts numerous activities for Sapa Culture and Tourism Week 2016.

The opening ceremony featured a traditional folklore and cultural performance themed “Colour of cherry blossoms on Fansipan” with the participation of artists and people of ethnic minorities.

Visitors can attend the In-the-Cloud festival and a cultural festival of the Mông people’s Cát Cát Village, experience “a day as a farmer” at Tả Phìn Commune, learn to pick and use medicinal herbs, and weave brocade according to the traditional process of the Dao Đỏ minority.

The People’s Committee of Sa Pa District expects to attract over 50,000 tourists to the event.VNS
