Riding a cyclo named one of 40 top tourist experiences in VN

HA NOI (VNS) — "Riding a classic cyclo" is one of 40 unforgettable experiences for tourists in Viet Nam, according to a list published on the website The Huffington Post at www.huffingtonpost.com.

Besides the three-wheel bicycle taxis, other popular experiences include eating a bowl of steaming pho at a street-side restaurant; lighting incense at the famous Huong Pagoda in Ha Noi, one of Viet Nam's most famous Buddhist shrines; taking a bike tour in Hoi An ancient town; hiring a motorbike and zooming along city streets; attending one of Viet Nam's unique festivals like the elephant race festival in the Central Highlands; taking a hill-tribe trek through Sa Pa Valley; getting a tailor-made suit or dress in Hoi An; learning about Viet Nam's turbulent war years at the War Remnants Museum in HCM City; and watching a traditional water puppet show in Ha Noi. — VNS
