HA NOI (VNS) — Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung has approved the trial circulation of caravans of more than nine seats brought into Viet Nam by German tourists. This forms part of amendments to the Government's Decree No.152/2013/ND-CP dated November 4, 2013 on management of motor vehicles brought into Viet Nam by foreign tourists.
The Government leader urged the Ministry of Transport to be responsible for supervising the trial operation of this kind of vehicle, which is organised by the Asian Trails Co, Ltd.
Under the decree, motor vehicles brought into Viet Nam by foreign tourists must be either motorbikes or cars used to transport tourists with steering wheels on the left.
Vehicle owners must be foreign individuals or organisations, and the number plates must be registered abroad. They must have valid certifications for technical safety and environmental protection. — VNS
