Alsace Styled Apple Tart

Treat yourself with a simple and tasty dessert from Chef Szurek at French Grill, JW Marriot Ha Noi. Enjoy the harmony of a delicate sweet and delightful texture combination.

Ingredients: serves 4

For the dough:

  • 250g flour
  • 125g butter
  • 5g salt
  • 0.1l cold water

For Apples:

  • 1kg apple
  • 25g sugar

For Custard:

  • 75g sugar
  • 0.2l cream
  • 2 pcs egg
  • ½ pcs vanilla stick

Method:

  • Beat the eggs and sugar. Add the cream and vanilla.
  • Precook the tart, empty and allow to cool down.
  • Slice the apple thinly and dispose in the tart, cover with custard.
  • Bake 15 minutes at 180oC, serves warm.
