Thien on the hunt for glory at Asian ITF competitions

Young Vietnamese tennis player Nguyen Hoang Thien will aim for glory in successive U18 International Tennis Federation (ITF) Group 1 tournaments in Thailand, Malaysia and the Philippines in March.

Thien, 17, is targeting a climb in the ITF junior rankings by taking part in these events. He currently ranks 141st in the world.

After these competitions, Thien, who is training in Chinese Taipei, will return Viet Nam to compete in Men's Futures to be held in southern province of Bac Lieu and HCM City. — VNS
