HÀ NỘI — The 60th National Marathon Tournament – Tiền Phong Newspaper 2018 is scheduled to run from March 20–25 next year in Vũng Tàu City.
Runners will compete over distances of 5km, 10km, 21km and 42km.
The cut-off time for the marathon will be six hours for women and five hours and 45 minutes for men.
The event is being jointly co-organised by the Việt Nam Athletics Federation, Tiền Phong newspaper and Bà Rịa - Vũng Tàu Province’s Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
The Tiền Phong newspaper run is the oldest athletics competition in Việt Nam. It has been held annually since 1958, except for 1980. During its history, the race has played an important role in the development of amateur sports and professional athletics in Việt Nam. — VNS
