HÀ NỘI — The National Fishing Sport Cup will be hold from November 17-18 at HCM City’s Quang Minh Fishing Farm.

Participants from 30 clubs nationwide have registered to take part in the tournament, which is considered the biggest of the year.

According to Nghiêm Bá Vương, vice president of the Việt Nam Fishing Sport Association, the number of anglers had increased this year, showing the development of the sport. The organisers hope to have a successful competition.

This is the third time the tournament has been held. Competitors will compete in individual and team events. Their matches will be in two 90-minute periods with different sized fishing rods.

A total of VNĐ50 million is up for grabs. — VNS
