HÀ NỘI — Việt Nam’s tennis golden hope Lý Hoàng Nam beat Hoàng Thành Trung on the fourth day of Việt Nam F4 Futures – Hải Đăng Cup 2018, held at Hải Đăng tennis complex stadium, Tây Ninh Province.

In men’s singles, Nam, 497 in the ATP rankings, overcame Trung 6-1 after two sets.

Meanwhile, Trịnh Linh Giang also easily beat Kaliyanda Poonacha from India 6-1 after set one, and soon after Poonacha asked to quit in set two.

In men’s doubles, Giang and Bùi Trí Nguyên were beaten by the pair of Grigoriy Lomakin from Kazakhstan and Goran Markovic from Serbia 8-10 at the super tie-break.

Previously, the Vietnamese pairs lost 1-6 in set 1 and won 7-6(5) in set two.

All Vietnamese players are off today. Matches continue until the weekend. — VNS
