HÀ NỘI — The Việt Nam national tennis team will fly to Indonesia on August 16 to compete at the 18th Asian Games (Asiad 2018).

The team includes Lý Hoàng Nam, Trịnh Linh Giang, Phạm Minh Tuấn, Nguyễn Văn Phương, Savanna Lý Nguyễn and Fodor Csilla.

The tennis event will be held from August 19 to 25 at Jakabaring Sports City in South Sumatra.

Asiad 2018 is both an opportunity and challenge for Vietnamese players to exchange experiences and hone their skills.

Youngster Nguyễn Văn Phương has been widely tipped to do well at the Games after winning three tournaments in the past month.

On Monday, the women’s national football team headed to Indonesia.

They will compete in Palembang City on August 19.

They have been drawn in Group C with Japan and Thailand. — VNS
