NINH BÌNH — There were no surprises on the first day of the VTF Junior – Vietravel Cup 2018 as all seeds got through their matches smoothly.
The tournament is being held at the tennis stadium complex of Ninh Bình Gymnasium from July 28 to August 4.
In men’s singles U14, first seed Trương Vinh Hiển from the HCM City team easily beat Trương Gia Kiệt 9-2, while second seed Phạm La Hoàng Anh from Hà Nội defeated Đỗ Hoàng Long from Lào Cai Province at 7-3.
In women’s singles U14, defending champion of VTF Junior Tour 1 Lý Minh Anh from Bắc Giang’s team beat Giáp Minh Tâm of the same team 9-6.
The second round of men’s singles, women’s singles, men’s doubles and women’s doubles will continue today. Matches start at 8am. — VNS
