HÀ NỘI — The final round of the National U17 Football Championship 2018 will take place from June 26 to July 6, announced the Việt Nam Football Federation (VFF).
Eight teams will participate in the tournament and will be divided into groups A and B.
VFF also announced on Thursday that Thái Sơn Nam Trading Co. Ltd will be the official sponsor of the National U17 Football Championship-Thái Sơn Nam Cup.
This is the company’s eighth sponsorship of the game, said the VFF.
Eight teams will compete at the Promotion Fund for Vietnamese Football Talent Centre in the northern province of Hưng Yên. They will play in a round-robin format in the group stage, and the four best teams will advance to the semi-finals.
Two winners of the semi-final will play for the cup and the second prize. The remaining two teams from the semi-final will jointly win the third prize.
The eight teams to have qualified for the final round among 24 teams include the People’s Police, Viettel, SHB Đà Nẵng, Sông Lam Nghệ An, Hoàng Anh Gia Lai, Becamex Bình Dương, An Giang and hosts PVF, who qualified in the qualifying round.
