HÀ NỘI — Việt Nam won three gold medals at the ongoing Asian Youth Chess Championship in Thailand.

The golds, along with a silver and bronze, were won in the blitz chess events. 

Nguyễn Anh Khôi won a gold in the boys’ U16 category; Nguyễn Hồng Anh triumphed in the girls’ U18 pool, and Bạch Ngọc Thuỳ Dương won in the girls’ U16 class.

The young masters will continue with the last round in the standard chess event. Three Vietnamese competitors are leading. Nguyễn Lê Cẩm Hiền tops the girls’ U12; Nguyễn Hà Khánh Linh, girls’ U10, and Đặng Lê Xuân Hiền, girls’ U8. — VNS
