HÀ NỘI — Hà Nội took home the trophy in the National U16 Football Tournament, which concluded at Hà Nam Stadium in the northern province of Hà Nam on Monday.
The team representing the capital beat hosts Hà Nam 2-0 in the final to score 15 points after six matches.
HCM City, who tied with the national team 1-1, were the runners-up with 10 points. The national team ranked third with five points.
The event’s organising board gave the award for the best player to Nguyễn Hoàng An Như of HCM City. The best goal scorer award went to Vũ Thị Hoa of Hà Nội, while Đào Thị Kiều Oanh, also of Hà Nội, won the award for best goalie.
The event gave the players a chance to hone their skills for the AFF championship in May. — VNS
