Thi claims leading role, Fuchiati grabs sixth stage

HÀ NỘI — Yanthi Fuchiati of Indonesia won the sixth stage of the International Women’s Cycling Bình Dương Television Tournament yesterday.

Fuchiati finished the 108km stage from Phan Rang City of Ninh Thuận Province to Phan Thiết City of Bình Thuận Province in 2hr 51.54min.

Namkung Soyoung of Samyang team from South Korea came second, followed by Supuksom Nuntata of Thailand.

After six stages, Nguyễn Thị Thi of Hạt Ngọc Trời An Giang took back top place that she lost to teammate Nguyễn Thị Thu Mai some days ago.

Thi’s total time stands at 15:52.37 and she will wear the yellow jersey to start the seventh stage today.

Miyoko Karami of Biwase Bình Dương was in second place and Mai dropped to third.

In the team ranking, Biwase Bình Dương are on top. Gạo Hạt Ngọc Trời An Giang and a team from the Netherlands are close behind.

The seventh stage is 50km around Phan Thiết City. — VNS
