HÀ NỘI — Việt Nam Prime Minister Nguyễn Xuân Phúc’s ball and competition jersey, which are gifts of the national U23 football team, will be auctioned and the money will be donated to the poor.

After their success in the Asian tournament last month, the U23 team were invited to the Prime Minister’s office, where they presented PM Phúc with a ball and a jersey carrying the signatures of all the members of the squad.

These gifts have been given to Minister of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs Đào Ngọc Dung and Minister of Information and Communication Trương Minh Tuấn, who were asked to organise an auction to sell these items. The cash collected from this auction will be presented to the poor people, war invalids, fallen soldiers and other revolutionary contributors.

The PM will mark his notes on these gifts

It is expected that the auction will be held before Tết (Lunar New Year). — VNS
