HÀ NỘI — South Korean Park Hang Seo will be the Việt Nam national football team’s new head coach, the Việt Nam Football Federation (VFF) announced yesterday.
The 58-year-old coach Park will also take charge of the U23 team.

Seo was an assistant of the South Korean national team in World Cup in 1994 and 2002. As the top assistant to coach Guus Hiddink, Park played a role in South Korea’s fourth place finish in the 2002 tournament, the best an Asian side has ever performed in the competition.
