Minh wins stage, Kritsada leads tournament

HÀ NỘI — Brothers Lê Nguyệt Minh and Lê Văn Duẩn came first and second in the eighth round of the VTV International Cycling Tournament, Tôn Hoa Sen Cup, yesterday.

Minh finished a short stage of 24 laps, 50km round Tam Kỳ City of Quảng Nam Province, with a timing of 1 hour and 12.43 minutes. His older brother Duẫn was just a hair’s gap later than him.

The result helped Duẩn keep his green jersey for the best cyclist.

After eight stages, Changpad Kritsada of Thailand maintained his position as the tour leader with a total timing of 21:33.08 seconds.

Philippine Navy topped the team ranking.

The ninth stage of 170km is from Quảng Ngãi to Quay Nhơn City today. — VNS
