Australian Josh Berry of Premium Cycling Vĩnh Long continued winning the sixth stage of the Mekong Delta Cycling Tournament, the Hạt Ngọc Trời Rice Cup, yesterday.

HÀ NỘI — Australian Josh Berry of Premium Cycling Vĩnh Long won his second consecutive stage of the Mekong Delta Cycling Tournament, the Hạt Ngọc Trời Rice Cup, yesterday.

Berry beat Nguyễn Huỳnh Phú Lộc of the Military Zone 7 to triumph in the 114km sixth stage from Cà Mau to Sóc Trăng City in 2:44.35.

Lê Văn Duẩn of VUS-HCM City beat his teammate Nguyễn Anh Khoa to come third.

Duẩn won 16 points in this stage to hold the green jersey as the best sprinter 99 total points.

The yellow jersey still belongs to Lê Ngọc Sơn of Gạo Hạt Ngọc Trời-An Giang for the best overall time of 18:47.34 after six stages, followed by Phạm Quốc Cường of Calytos Đồng Tháp and Loic Desriac of Bike Life Đồng Nai.

Calytos Đồng Tháp topped the team rankings with a time of 56: 25.58. Gạo Hạt Ngọc Trời-An Giang and Bike Life Đồng Nai were the runners-up.

Today, cyclists will race the 93km final stage from Sóc Trăng to Vĩnh Long City in the morning and pedal 12 laps around Phạm Thái Bường road of Vĩnh Long City, lasting 32km. — VNS
