HÀ NỘI — The Promotion Fund of Vietnamese Football Talents FC (PVF) won the National U15 Football Championship after beating Viettel 2-0 in the final match at Tây Ninh Stadium on Saturday.
PVF were the runners-up in the past three years.
The two sides played attack since the referee blew his whistle. However, Võ Nguyên Hoàng opened the score for PVF in the 21st minute.
Only four minutes later, taking full advantage of Viettel’s defence line error, Trịnh Văn Chung doubled the score for PVF.
After the break, Viettel created many chances to score but failed.
Sông Lam Nghệ An and the hosts Tây Ninh shared third place.
The event’s organising board handed out awards to Nguyễn Ngọc Tú, Viettel’s best player, as well as to Trịnh Văn Chung and Nguyễn Tiến Ba, PVF’s best players, and the the best goal keeper Trần Lâm Hào of PVF. — VNS
