Northern golfers to enter amateur champs

Twenty-five golfers will play in the final round of the TP Bank World Amateur Golfers Championship Việt Nam 2017 (WAGC) following their victory at the northern region qualifying round held on Saturday at Sky Lake Golf Course in Hà Nội.

HÀ NỘI — Twenty-five golfers will play in the final round of the TP Bank World Amateur Golfers Championship Việt Nam 2017 (WAGC) following their victory at the northern region qualifying round held on Saturday at Sky Lake Golf Course in Hà Nội.

After two qualifying rounds in the northern and southern regions, a total of 70 golfers will enter the final on September 9 at Taekwang Jeongsan Golf Course in Đồng Nai Province. The best golfers will receive prizes for “Handicap Longest Drive”, “Nearest to the Pin”, “Nearest to the Line”, and “Hole-In-One” achievements.

WAGC Việt Nam, which attracted 400 golfers nationwide, is part of the World Amateur Golfers Championship, the league system of international competition for amateur golfers from more than 40 countries.

Five golfers will represent Việt Nam at the world final round in Kuala Lumpur from November 18-25. — VNS
