HÀ NỘI — An Giang topped the National Senior and Junior Terrain Cycling Championships which closed on August 2 in Hoà Bình Province.

An Giang cyclists pocketed eight gold, four silver and seven bronze medals.

Sơn La came second with five golds, followed by the Army team with four.

On the last day of competition, Đinh Văn Linh of the hosts won the men’s cross-country individual event with a time of 1hr 34.09min over the 29km route.

He was followed by Ngô Hoàng Nhu of the Army and Võ Hữu An from An Giang.

His team also took the team’s title.

On the women’s side, Đinh Thị Như Quỳnh of Bình Dương triumphed the 24km event, clocking 1:36.21. An Giang’s Vũ Thị Kim Lộc was second and Cà Thị Thơm from Sơn La was third.

Sơn La claimed the top podium at the team’s event. — VNS
