HÀ NỘI — The National Karatedo Clubs Championships kicked off in the Central Highlands provinces of Đắk Lắk on July 19.

The event attracted the participation of 720 martial artists from 33 cities and provinces across the country.

They will compete for 29 sets of medals in kumite (combat) and kata (performance) in four age groups: 12-14, 15-17, 18 and above and 35 and above.

The event’s best players will be selected for the national team to compete in the Southeast Asian Games and other international tournaments.

The event, which is co-organised by the National Sports Administration and the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, will run until July 27. VNS
