HÀ NỘI — Lê Nguyệt Minh of HCM City won the 14th stage of the HCM City Television Cycling Tournament yesterday.

Minh finished first in the 132km stage from Tuy Hòa City to Nha Trang City with a time of 3:10.30.

Lê Văn Duẩn of VUS-HCM City and Huỳnh Thanh Tùng of the Military Zone 7 were the runners-up.

Minh currently holds the green jersey as best sprinter with 103 points. Tùng of Military Zone 7 and Duẩn of VUS-HCM City rank second and third with 86 points and 74 points, respectively.

The event’s yellow jersey for best overall time is held by Nguyễn Văn Dương of Bikelife Đà Nẵng with a time of 32:52.56, followed by Nguyễn Văn Đức of Cần Thơ and Nguyễn Minh Luận of Premium Cycling Vĩnh Long.

Dương Phan Hoàng Thái of Domesco Pharmacy Đồng Tháp retained the red jersey as King of Mountain with eight points.

In the team rankings, Military Zone 7 leads with a time of 98:34.28 after 14 stages. Domesco Pharmacy Đồng Tháp and Gạo Hạt Ngọc Trời-An Giang are second and third.

Today, cyclists will compete in the 15th stage around Trần Phú road in Nha Trang City lasting 48 km.

Seventy-eight cyclists from 13 teams are competing across 20 stages totalling 2,000km. The event offers the biggest prize in Vietnamese cycling history: VNĐ1.2 billion (US$52,200). — VNS
