HÀ NỘI — Vietnamese top badminton player Nguyễn Tiến Minh dropped five places to world No 52 in the latest rankings, the sport’s governing body has announced.

The top spot went to Lee Chong Wei of Malaysia. The runners-up were Jan O Jorgensen of Denmark and Chen Long of China.

HCM City-born player Minh’s best achievement to date is a bronze medal at the World Badminton Championship in 2013.

Minh just won the Ciputra Hà Nội-Yonex Sunrise Việt Nam International Challenge title, held in Hà Nội in March. — VNS
