HÀ NỘI — Savanna Lý Nguyễn pocketed her second title at the National Women’s Tennis Championships which concluded yesterday in Đắk Lắk Province.
Savanna of Army came from behind to beat Tiffany Lý Nguyễn of Bình Dương Province 5-7, 6-2, 7-6 (1) to take the gold medal in the over-18 singles category.
A day ago, Savanna and partner Kim Ngân won the doubles event.
Nguyễn Ngọc Minh Phương of Hà Nội triumphed in the U-18 singles category after beating Huỳnh Thị Huế Anh of Sóc Trăng 6-1, 6-3.
The Army team grabbed another gold in the U-16 singles as Andrea Lê defeated Nguyễn Thị Phương of Hà Nội 6-2, 7-5. Andrea is only 13.
The U-14 title went to Phan Diễm Quỳnh of Bình Dương, while Hanoian Nguyễn Thị Mai Linh won the U-12 title. — VNS
