Bình Dương cycling race names winners

Supuksorn Nuntana of Thailand won the last stage of the Bình Dương International Women’s Cycling Tournament yesterday.

HÀ NỘI — Supuksorn Nuntana of Thailand won the final stage of the Bình Dương International Women’s Cycling Tournament yesterday, and Karami Miyoko of Japan won the overall yellow jersey for the best overall time of 21:47.36

Nuntana finished first in the 112km race from Vũng Tàu City to Thủ Dầu Một City with a time of 2:44.02 and an average speed of 40.967 kmh.

Fukuda Sae of Japan and Phạm Thị Thúy Liên of VUS-HCM City were the runners-up.

Miyoko also won the red jersey - ’the queen of the mountain’ award - with 68 points.

Nguyễn Thị Thật of Gạo Hạt Ngọc Trời-An Giang won the green jersey as the best sprinter with 110 points.

Trần Thị Kim Diễm of VUS-HCM City won the white jersey as top best young cyclist.

The impressive competition award went to Đinh Thị Như Quỳnh of Biwase-BD.

In the team rankings, Biwase-BD took the lead with the overall time of 65.38.36 after nine stages, followed by Thailand and Gạo Hạt Ngọc Trời-An Giang team.

The nine-day event  attracted nearly 100 cyclists from 10 domestic teams, and eight foreign teams including Japan, Malaysia and Kazakhstan.

Cyclists competed over a total distance of 828km through seven provinces such as Bình Dương, Đồng Nai and Lâm Đồng. They were challenged by many passes on their way. — VNS
