HÀ NỘI — Nguyễn Hoàng Thiên of Việt Nam has reached his best ranking of 1,426 in the world according to the latest release of the Association of Tennis Professionals on Monday.

Thiên grabbed three bonus point from the Men’s Futures events in previous weeks. He jumps from No 1,602 to his current position, marking his highest place in his career.

Trịnh Linh Giang also has a higher rank at No 2,058, one better than previous spot.

Meanwhile their teammate Lý Hoàng Nam drop 40 steps to No 653. It was attributed to the cancellation of the Cambodia F2 Men’s Futures this year. Nam who entered the semi-final round last year then has no chance to defend his six points here.

Positions in the men’s and women’s top 30 are unchanged.

In other tennis news, Thiên and his coaches have been donated free flights to all competition venues in one year by Worldtrans.

His first plan after the deal will be a training course and competition in the United States. They will depart on December 13.

Thiên then will take part in the Davis Cup when Việt Nam will host Hong Kong on February 3 and 5. — VNS
