HÀ NỘI — The Hà Nội Run for Children will be held December 11 at Thống Nhất Park in Hà Nội.

The annual event will attract thousands of Hanoians and foreigners taking to help Vietnamese pediatric patients with heart disease and cancer.

This year, People’s Artist Lê Khanh, striker Hoàng Vũ Samson of Hà Nội T&T, Miss Việt Nam 2016 Đỗ Mỹ Linh and MC Phan Anh will take part in the event.

The event was established in 2000 as the Terry Fox Run Hà Nội (2000-2008). It has raised nearly VNĐ10 billion to assist underprivileged children at the National Hospital of Pediatrics, Hà Nội Heart Hospital and in the Heart Beat Việt Nam programme of VinaCapital Foundation.

It is co-organised by the Embassy of Canada to Việt Nam in Hà Nội, the Việt Nam-Canada Friendship Association, the Hà Nội Union of Friendship Organisations and several other organizations. — VNS
