HÀ NỘI — Việt Nam will meet Myanmar in the first match of the 2018 FIVB Volleyball Men’s World Championship’s Southeast Asia Zonal qualification round on October 8 in Thailand.
They will then play the host the following day.
Only the winning team from this group will enter the second qualifier of the Asia.
The Vietnamese 12-member squad was called together last month to train for the tournament. This included players who won a silver medal, losing to Thailand at the Southeast Asian Games last year.
Thailand is considered to be sitting in the top position, as they ranked seventh at the Asian championship earlier this year. — VNS
