Five golfers to represent Việt Nam in South Africa

HÀ NỘI — The TP Bank World Amateur Golfers Championship Việt Nam 2016 wrapped up on Saturday in Sky Lake golf course in Ha Noi.

The winners, Trần Thế Cường, Huỳnh Ngọc Thanh Bình, Đỗ Đình Toàn, Nguyễn Trường Giang and Hồ Trần Tuấn, selected from five handicap groups, will represent Việt Nam at the World Amateur Golfers Championship (WAGC), an international competition for amateur golfers from more than 40 countries.

Nguyễn Thị Bảo Quỳnh, WAGC representative in Việt Nam, said that the golfers played very well, promising to provide impressive competition in the world event.

Last year, the WAGC featured players from 49 countries. Việt Nam finished third. The WAGC 2016 will take place in Durban, South Africa from October 22-29. —VNS
