Việt Nam defeated China’s Hong Kong 5-0 in the final Group D match of the Women’s Asian Football Confederation U-16 Qualifier in the Việt Nam Youth Football Training Centre in Hà Nội on Saturday.

HÀ NỘI — Việt Nam defeated China’s Hong Kong 5-0 in the final Group D match of the Women’s Asian Football Confederation U-16 Qualifier in the Việt Nam Youth Football Training Centre in Hà Nội on Saturday.

With this win, Việt Nam ranked second out of six teams with 12 points, but the team missed their opportunity for a slot to compete in the event’s final round, as only the top team have the right to move forward.

In other matches, Palestine bested Iraq 1-0, while Australia crushed Uzbekistan 9-1 to top the rankings with 15 points and earned a ticket to the finals. — VNS
