HÀ NỘI – Võ Phú Trung of An Giang guaranteed his top position in the ranking after the ninth stage of the VTV International Cycling Tournament, while Lê Văn Duẩn won the penultimate stage yesterday.

Duẩn of the Vietnam US Society English Centre won the 91km race from Hải Phòng to Hà Nội with a time of 2hr 9.7sec. He was followed by French Jos Koop of Laos and Duẩn’s teammate, Lê Nguyệt Minh.

In the race for the green jersey, Koop is leading with 138 points. Duẩn is close behind with seven points less. The winner will be decided by the final stage results today.

In the team rankings, Domesco Đồng Tháp placed on top. Hạt Ngọc Trời and VUS-HCM City ranked second and third, respectively.
