HÀ NỘI — A golf tournament to raise scholarship funds for the “Giving strength to students” initiative will begin on September 3 at the Long Thành golf course in southern Đồng Nai Province.

Nearly 150 local and foreign business people and diplomats have registered to play at the event.

According to the event’s organisers, a scholarship valued at VNĐ7 million will be given to 800 students in 37 cities and provinces.

The event, which will be broadcast live on the Thể Thao TV channel, is co-organised by the Bình Điền Fertilizer Company, the Việt Nam Television Centre in HCM City, the Tuổi Trẻ newspaper and the Long Thành golf company. — VNS
