HÀ NỘI — Veteran cyclist Lê Văn Duẩn of VUS-HCM City won the fifth stage of the Mekong Delta Cycling Tournament yesterday.

Duẩn clocked a time of 3:57.04 to win the 150km stage from Trà Vinh to Sóc Trăng.

Duẩn also took the green jersey for scoring the most points with 98 points after five stages, followed by Duẩn by Nguyễn Thành Tâm of Gạo Hạt Ngọc Trời with 95 points.

Tâm holds the yellow jersey for best overall time with a total time of 14:22.43.

In the team rankings, VUS-HCM City temporarily took the lead. Gạo Hạt Ngọc Trời and Domesco Pharmacy Đồng Tháp are in second and third, respectively.

Today, cyclists will compete in the sixth stage, racing 117km from Sóc Trăng to Cà Mau. — VNS
