Ly wins more gold at Taiwan Athletics Open

Việt Nam yesterday wrapped up the Taiwan Athletics Open with one gold, one silver and two bronze medals.

Việt Nam grabbed one gold, one silver and two bronze medals yesterday at the Taiwan Athletics Open.

Vũ Thị Ly secured her second gold at the tournament after winning the women’s 800m with a time of 2min 13.54sec.

Ke Yongxin and Zhou Guanling, both of the hosts, took silver and bronze, respectively.
Ly’s first gold was in the 1,500m one day earlier. 
Trần Huệ Hoa came second in the women’s triple jump. 
Hoa jumped 13.63m, behind winner Olga Rypakova of Kazakhstan who scored 14.30m. Vũ Thị Mến of Việt Nam was third on 13.28m. 
Dương Văn Thái took his second medal after placing third in the men’s 800m. On May 20 he triumphed in the 1,500m. 
After two days of competitions, Việt Nam bagged four golds, two silvers and two bronzes to rank third in the medal tally. 
India topped the tournament with four golds, three silvers and two bronzes. South Korea followed with four golds, three silvers and one bronze. -- VNS
