HÀ NỘI — The Ciputra Hà Nội-Yonex Sunrise Việt Nam International Challenge is scheduled to kick off at the Cầu Giấy Gymnasium on May 31.

The event, which has attracted the participation of 270 international and 54 domestic players, has total prize money of US$17,500.

Việt Nam’s top badminton player, Nguyễn Tiến Minh, is the No 1 seed at the tournament, while his girlfriend, Vũ Thị Trang, is seeded No 2 in the women’s singles.

Minh and Trang have qualified for the 2016 Rio Olympics to be held on August 5-21. — VNS
