Wins put Thái Nguyên in second, Hà Nam on top

TNG Thái Nguyên secured second place in the National Women’s Football Championship after their 2-0 win over Việt Nam Coal and Minerals in the third round match at the Hà Nam Province Stadium.

Nguyễn Thị Đăng and Nguyễn Thùy Linh scored 10 minutes into the fourth quarter of the match for Thái Nguyên.

They will have three days rest before coming back to face HCM City 2 on Thursday.

In the earlier match, host Phong Phú Hà Nam easily beat newcomer Sơn La 3-0.

Coach Văn Thị Thanh kept her best players on the bench, giving a chance for her young members to play. However, the team did not face many difficulties as Nguyễn Thị Kim Thoa scored in the 41st minute.

Two other goals went to Nguyễn Thị Tuyết Dung and Nguyễn Thị Tươi in the second half.

The third win moves Hà Nam up to become the leading team, ignoring results of the other games of the round today.

Hà Nội 1 will play HCM City 2 and Hà Nội 2 meets HCM City 1. – VNS
