Khang wins stage, Tùng leads cycling cup

Nguyễn Phạm Quốc Khang secured his second win at the Hạt Ngọc Trời Cycling Cup by winning the fifth stage yesterday.

Khang of Vĩnh Long completed the 95km race from Kiến Tường District of Long An Province to Vĩnh Long Province in a time of 2hr 14.41min.

He was followed by Hà Kiều Tấn Đại of Bình Dương and Huỳnh Thanh Tùng of Military Zone 7.

Tùng leads the overall rankings with a time of 8:09.38. He is also the top sprinter with 56 points after five stages.

In the team rankings, Military, An Giang and Domesco Đồng Tháp filled the top-three positions, respectively.

In the amateur category, Cambodian Dươn Phi Dúth claimed the yellow jersey and his crew also topped the team ranking.

The sixth stage is a 107km race from Vĩnh Long to Cần Thơ City. VNS
