Việt Nam drops one place in May’s FIFA rankings

Việt Nam team have dropped one step to 145th place in the latest May ranking, according to the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA).

Việt Nam’s team has dropped one step to 145th place in the latest May ranking, according to the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA).

The Philippines rose one step to be no. 115 in the world, taking the lead in the southeast Asian region, followed by Thailand (119th) and Việt Nam. Notably, Laos increased six positions to become no. 176 in the world.

In Asia, Việt Nam ranked 23rd. The top three positions belongs to Iran (42nd), Australia (50th) and South Korea (54th).

Argentina still led the world. The second and third places are claimed by Belgium and Chile, respectively.

The next FIFA rankings will be announced on June 2. – VNS
