HÀ NỘI — Nguyễn Trường Tài of VUS-HCM City retained the yellow jersey at the 28th HCM City Television Cycling Cup yesterday.

Tài has the best overall time after 16 stages with a combined time of 42:38.21, followed by Huỳnh Thanh Tùng of Military Zone 7.

Nguyễn Thành Tâm of An Giang kept the green jersey as best sprinter, while the red jersey as King of the Mountain belonged to Phan Tuấn Vũ of Cần Thơ with 11 points.

The 16th stage winner was Phan Hoàng Thái of Đồng Tháp who finished with a time of 3:36.05 in the 119km race from Phan Rang-Tháp Chàm to Đà Lạt City.

In the team rankings, An Giang and Military Zone 7 still lead the event. VUS-HCM City overtook Đồng Tháp to go third.

Today, cyclists will compete in a 51km race around Xuân Hương Lake in Đà Lạt City. – VNS
