HÀ NỘI — Phong Phú Hà Nam beat Việt Nam Coal and Minerals 2-1 to triumph in the National Women’s U19 Football Championship yesterday in Hà Nam Province.
Nguyễn Thị Nụ opened the score 10 minutes after the break with a straight header. She doubled the result 15 minutes later when faced with an empty net.
Nguyễn Thị Vạn narrowed the score, also with a header, by the end of the game.
After six rounds, Phong Phú Hà Nam had 13 points and took home the trophy for the third time.
Việt Nam Coal and Minerals became the former champions, taking second place this year.
Phong Phú Hà Nam’s Lê Thị Cúc played well. She shared the title of most goals scored with Nguyễn Thị Thúy Hằng of Việt Nam Coal and Minerals, with three goals each. Đỗ Thị Hải Yến of Phong Phú Hà Nam was the best goalkeeper. — VNS
